Dougie followed up last year’s Virgin Media Shorts entry with Sunday Night Monday Morning, a short short (under 90secs) set in his hometown of Clydebank. The usual 14c players were on screen, with Darren taking the lead role and Roddy MacNeill (Data Entry, Let’s Go Swimming) supporting.
Due to the weather, everyone pulled a 24 hour shift for the shoot as we had to wait for the rain to stop. We wanted to evoke the feeling of coming home from a night out and having those familiar surroundings transcend themselves, partly because of seeing them at an atypical hour but also from a sense of the characters identity changing.
The short was written, shot, edited and directed by Dougie. David McKeitch recorded sound and mixed the dub.
The score is by David MacGregor (of Kid Canaveral) and was produced by Gal at Fourth Street Studios in Glasgow.
Equipment was hired in using our new partnership with Grey Wolf Studios (thanks to James Houston for his support).
