Poppy Poetry Competition

For Poppy Scotland’s poetry competition to commemorate 100 years since the start of World War One, we were asked to make a video with some helpful tips to inspire kids across all school levels. This was quite a challenge, but once we got Ken Cockburn and William Letford, two brilliant and totally different poets, we were very excited. Both poet’s did an excellent job of making their tips come to life. Their advice could be used for any creative endeavour and we were genuinely inspired to look at our own craft differently. The Scottish Poetry Library were very generous with their time and letting us use their building for an entire day. Patient poets!

The film has been shown in a huge number of primary and secondary schools across Scotland.
